Firearms Training

Since 2011, we have been offering a full range of services to the shooting community. Our staff has 20 years of firearms experience and can offer the following training options: SLED Concealed Weapons Permit (CWP) classes, NRA Basic Pistol, NRA "Refuse To Be A Victim", 4-H Shotgun, and advanced tactical pistol/carbine/shotgun training. Additionally, we are certified with SCDNR for hunter education instruction. With our public range, clients can test fire newly purchased firearms, check their repaired firearm, or just come and shoot for the day.

Concealed Weapons Permit (CWP)

Currently, we try to schedule the CWP class monthly. The seminar is open to the public and costs $125 to attend. Lunch, range fees, and all forms necessary for completion are included. Students will need to bring a pistol, 60 rounds of fresh new ammunition, and a holster. Pistol rental and ammunition purchase are available. Pre-registration is required and limited to 20 students. To register, please contact Jim Boone at 803-584-7363/mobile-803-300-1179 or redblufflodge@wildblue.net. Jim has been certified as an instructor by both the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and National Rifle Association.

The seminar will introduce students to the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for owning, using, and carrying a pistol safely. Through this course, students will learn about pistol parts and operation, ammunition, gun safety, pistol shooting fundamentals, South Carolina Gun Law, concealed carry tactics, and shooting techniques. Additionally, students will have to demonstrate learned shooting techniques on the range.

Upon successful completion, students will have met all the requirements to receive their South Carolina concealed weapons permit.
